First certified bronze in 2018 by the Scenic City Certification Program the City was recently ranked-up to a gold level certification by improving our landscaping and sign standards. Improvements include: design standards for parking lot island, medians and peninsulas and how those are planted, increased tree protection standards during construction, higher dumpster/trash enclosure screening requirements, and prohibiting wind device type signs which includes feather flags, streamers, and balloons.
The City joined the program in 2018 and increased our standards in 2021 to demonstrate to the community our continued commitment to promoting high-quality scenic standards for public roadways and spaces as the City rapidly grows.
