Recruiting
Come Serve with US!

Thank you for your interest in working for the Manor Police Department. It is an exciting time for our agency and our City. As it stands, Manor Police Department is one of the top call producing agencies in Travis County. We have an excellent working relationship with our community and surrounding agencies and all work together for criminal intelligence and support.

As we continue to grow we will have to meet the needs for Police services. We depend on qualified exceptional people to fill our vacancies. Our hiring process is time consuming and sometimes difficult as we expect cooperation from the applicant who wants to join our team. If you are up for the challenge, email JoinMPD@manortx.gov
your request for an invitation to start our online application and background process. Should you have any questions check out our job posting , email us or call to speak to a recruiting representative.

Once you have completed the online application process you will be assigned a background investigator. This investigator is your primary contact during the hiring process. TCOLE licensed Applicants will go through a thorough background investigation, qualify with firearms, go through a drug, medical and psychological evaluation and perform several interviews through the process.

Cadet applicants will go through a thorough background investigation, a drug, medical and psychological evaluation and perform several interviews. If selected, the Cadet will be hired and begin the Police Academy (BPOC) with one of our partner agencies and complete 950 hours of rigorous training over a 6 month period. Once graduated, you'll be sworn in as a Texas Peace Officer, and begin our departmental (FTO) training of an additional 672 hours (approximately 4 months).

Civilian applicants for non-sworn positions are still put through a thorough background investigation. This is due to the nature of work we perform and the sensitive information we deal with. Depending on the specific civilian position, applicants will perform a series of processes and interviews. Once hired, all Civilian employees are then trained and licensed as Tele-communicators through TCOLE.

The City of Manor is a diverse, sustainable community and regional leader with exceptional services, a high quality of life, and a safe environment for citizens and businesses to thrive.
