Game Room License

A license to operate a game room is required for any building, facility or other place that is open to the public and that contains one or more operational redemption machines. A redemption machine is any electromechanical, or mechanical contrivance, including sweepstakes machine, designed, made, and adopted for bona fide amuesment purposes, and that by operation of chance, skill, or a combination of chance and skill affords the player the opportunity to win merchandise, prizes, toys, novelties, or an item of value, or a representation of value redeemable for those items.

Submit completed application and release form to the permitting department or email to permits@manortx.gov. Fees are due at time of application and can be paid by being brought to City Hall (105 East Eggleston Street, Manor, TX 78653), mailed (PO BOX 387, Manor, TX 78653), or over the phone (512-272-5555 ext. 4). An inspection of the game room will be performed by a Manor police officer to verify the number of game machines and compliance with city ordinance requirements. After the facility has passed the inspection(s) a license to operate will be granted.
