Individuals ages 16 years of age and younger that have received a Class C Misdemeanor offense are required by law to appear in open court with their parent or legal guardian.
The appearance date indicated on the citation is not the court date. The juvenile and parent will be sent a letter indicating their required court date with the Manor Municipal Court.
This Court appearance is MANDATORY; failure to appear may result in a non-custodial warrant for your arrest and charges filed against the parent for contempt of court.
Furthermore, the juvenile will be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety and will not be able to obtain a driver's license.
