Waste Connections is proud to announce that they will be the new solid waste and recycling service provider for the City of Manor effective January 1, 2020. All service days will remain the same.

Residential Collection Schedule

Trash collection is weekly on your zone's designated day.

Recycling collection is every other week on your zone's designated day. Check Waste Connections calendar for recycling collection weeks.

• ZONE 1 MONDAY - Greenbury Village, Bell Farms, Carriage Hills, Village at Manor Commons
  
• ZONE 2 TUESDAY - Stonewater, Presidential Glen, Presidential Heights, Carillon
  
• ZONE 3 WEDNESDAY - Downtown, Wildhorse Creek, Hamilton Point, Lagos
• ZONE 4  THURSDAY - Shadowglen

Holidays may affect regular pickup schedules. If your service falls on or after a Waste Connections observed holiday, your service may experience a delay. Below are Waste Connections observed holidays: 

• New Year's Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Bulk Trash

Bulk drop off is for Manor and Shadowglen residents only (proof of residency is required) and by appointment. Contact Melissa Sanchez at Public Works to arrange a drop off time: 512-272-5555 ext. 5 or msanchez@manortx.gov

Residents are allowed 1 pickup truck load per appointment (no Uhauls or trailers) up to 4 times per year. No commercial accounts or commercial debris will be serviced.

Collection Guidelines 

 

• Rinse food residue off all recyclables 
• Dry paper before placing it in your cart 
• Crush recyclables like cans, plastic jugs, and bottles 
• Flatten boxboard and corrugated cardboard 
• Remove any metal components from plastic items

• Glossy and matte paper
• Envelopes
• Junk mail
• Greeting cards
• Catalogs
• Newspapers
• Coupons
• Posters
• Sticky notes
• Paper bags
• Wrapping paper (non-foil)
• Magazines
• Shredded paper (placed in a paper bag)

 

• Corrugated cardboard and boxboard boxes
• Shoe boxes
• Gift boxes
• Soda/beverage boxes
• Food boxes (cereal boxes, microwave meals, boxes of rice, etc.)
• Paper towel rolls

 

• Aluminum foil (clean, balled 2 inches or larger)
• Aluminum foil baking pans, pie plates, tins, trays (clean)
• Food cans and caps/lids
• Soda cans and caps/lids
• Steel and tin cans

 

• Jars and caps (labels can be left on containers)
• Bottles and bottle caps (labels can be left on containers)
