Site Development

 

Site plans are required for all development within the city limits and Shadowglen, excluding single-family development, to ensure compliance with City ordinances and development standards. Site plans include the property boundaries, easements, land use, vehicle and pedestrian ingress and egress, utilities, drainage, off-street parking, lighting, signage, and landscaping. City engineers issue comments within 30 days of receiving a completed application. Plans are also reviewed and approved by Travis County Emergency Services District 12 (TCESD 12). Plans are approved administratively. Properties located in the ETJ are permitted through Travis County

  • Site Plan application
    • $400 + $15/acre 
    • $50 technology fee
  • Building permit fees based on square footage
    • $0.60/square foot residential (includes trade permits)
    • $0.20/square foot multifamily (includes trade permits)
    • $0.70/square foot commercial (includes trade permits)
    • $0.35/square foot shell buildings (includes trade permits)
    • $0.35/square foot for tenant finish outs (includes trade permits)
    • $0.70/square foot for educational (includes trade permits)
    • $80/each commercial/educational inspection rate
    • $60/each residential inspection rate
  • Impact fees based on meter size and platting date
  • Water tap fee $750
  • Wastewater tap fee $750
